I began working professionally in the Film and TV industry as a Scenic Sculptor in 1985 to support my fine art studies. Since then I have gained experience in all areas of the Art Department. Scenic Sculptor, Carpenter, Prop Maker, Sfx technician, Set Dresser, Prop Master, On Set Props, Art Director, Production Designer.
I have experience with live action, stop motion animation, models, green screen (in studio and on location), set design, re-dressing and construction into existing locations.
Working on location and in studio I understand the importance of balencing these two disciplines.
I enjoy the artistic interpretation of treatments and translating ideas technically with SketchUp and drawing freehand.
I have a good knowledge of London and its prop houses as well as working in Liverpool, Edinburgh, Shefield and Leeds
I am accustomed to managing tight deadlines and budgets.
Through my extensive experience I have built up a significant crew base and invaluable contacts across the industry. I am also a practicing artist working with sculpture, photography, film and installation.
